While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Nationwide protests planned after arrest of former Columbia University activist by immigration authorities

NBC, March 15, 2025,

Editor's Note:

The following news story has been shortened. It was originally written by NBC's Matt Lavietes.

***

Nationwide protests are planned this weekend after Mahmoud Khalil, a former Columbia University student activist, was arrested by immigration authorities, fueling tensions between the Trump administration and student movements over immigration policy.

Khalil, 30, was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in the middle of the night last weekend, prompting outrage in recent days. Khalil, an Algerian citizen of Palestinian descent, helped lead pro-Palestinian demonstrations at Columbia University last spring.

Protests calling for his release will be held in cities including New York City, Boston, Phoenix, Charlotte, Oklahoma City, Miami and Indianapolis on Saturday and Sunday.

Several dozen protestors gathered in Times Square on Saturday afternoon, wearing traditional Palestinian scarfs, known as kuffiyehs, and waving Palestinian flags.

"Release Mahmoud right now!" the protestors shouted.

Grant Miner, the former president of a union representing thousands of Columbia student workers who were fired and expelled this week, addressed the crowd. He described Mahmoud's detention as "a campaign of fear."

"We must stand up together to tell Trump and his billionaire buddies that we’re not going to stand for this intimidation and the backsliding of civil rights in this country," he said.

On Monday, a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from expelling Khalil, a legal permanent resident, from the country as he challenges his deportation.

Khalil filed an amended petition and complaint in federal district court in Manhattan on Thursday, stating he was the target of “retaliatory detention and attempted removal of a student protestor because of his constitutionally protected speech.” Khalil finished his classes at Columbia in December 2024 and was expected to graduate in the spring, according to the filing.

Immigration authorities are holding the 30-year-old in Louisiana and his lawyers have petitioned for him to be returned to New York City. His wife, an American, is eight months pregnant.

“I urge you to see Mahmoud through my eyes as a loving husband and the future father to our baby,” she said in a statement through Khalil’s defense counsel on Monday. “I need your help to bring Mahmoud home, so he is here beside me, holding my hand in the delivery room as we welcome our first child into this world.”

Trump administration targets campus protesters

Khalil’s arrest marks the first attempt to fulfill President Donald Trump’s campaign pledge to deport international students who protested in support of Palestinians on campuses across the country last spring.

On Tuesday, a doctoral student from India whom DHS accused of supporting Hamas self-deported to Canada. And on Friday, another Palestinian student who took part in Columbia’s protests last year, identified by DHS as Leqaa Kordia, was arrested for allegedly overstaying her student visa.

Civil rights groups and protesters have denounced the federal government’s actions at Columbia as an infringement on free speech. Protesters staged demonstrations this week at both the university and inside Trump Tower, located in Manhattan.

Columbia’s international students have expressed fear, with several telling NBC News on Friday that they are increasingly hesitant to criticize the Trump administration due to fears of repercussions.

The university’s journalism school said its staff and students are “witnessing and experiencing an alarming chill.”

“One does not have to agree with the political opinions of any particular individual to understand that these threats cut to the core of what it means to live in a pluralistic democracy,” the journalism school said in a statement issued Friday. “The use of deportation to suppress foreign critics runs parallel to an aggressive campaign to use libel laws in novel — even outlandish ways — to silence or intimidate the independent press.”

Rafa'h Municipality announces suspension of water services

Saturday 15-March-2025

RAFAH, (PIC)

The Rafa'h Municipality in southern Gaza announced on Saturday that it is halting the provision of fuel necessary for operating private and agricultural wells due to the ongoing severe Israeli blockade and the closure of crossings and the consequent depletion of fuel.

Rafa'h Mayor Ahmed Al-Sufi explained that the municipality had been supplying fuel to operate 80 private and agricultural water wells, in addition to the main wells, to ensure water access to neighborhoods where residents have returned amidst deteriorating humanitarian conditions.

In a press statement, he noted that the fuel shortage forces the municipality to reduce the services provided and freeze essential and vital services, threatening the lives of thousands and exacerbating the health and environmental crisis.

He said, “We are facing an impending humanitarian disaster, as the deprivation of water exposes residents to serious diseases at a time when they are already facing harsh living conditions due to the ongoing aggression and blockade.”

Al-Sufi clarified that the water crisis in Rafa'h is escalating dangerously, with no solutions in sight due to Israel’s intransigence and its continued prevention of essential supplies. He warned of an uncontrollable health and humanitarian disaster.

He called on all international and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene and pressure Israel to open the crossings and allow immediate entry of fuel and relief materials to avoid further deterioration of living conditions.

Al-Sufi emphasized that the silence of the international community regarding this crime will lead to dire consequences for the lives of Gaza’s residents.

Following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the Israeli occupation authorities closed the Karm Abu Salim crossing—the only passage for humanitarian aid and fuel—claiming that Hamas refused to respond to a U.S. proposal for a temporary ceasefire during Ramadan and the Jewish Passover.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has distanced himself from starting the second phase of the agreement, as he seeks to release more Israeli captives without fulfilling the commitments of this phase, especially ending the genocide and completely withdrawing from Gaza.

Netanyahu wants to extend the first phase of the exchange deal to free as many Israeli captives in Gaza as possible without offering any concessions or completing the military and humanitarian obligations imposed in the ceasefire agreement, to appease the extremists in his government.

Earlier on Friday evening, Hamas announced that it had agreed to release an Israeli soldier with American citizenship, in addition to four corpses of dual-national captives, in response to a new proposal to resume ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and prisoner exchanges.

Meanwhile, the White House claimed that Hamas is making unrealistic demands in the negotiations that prevent reaching a permanent ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Dozens of people have also been killed and injured during the Israeli operations in the northern West Bank.

According to local media sources, the Israeli army dispatched more reinforcements to Toulkarm City, and the refugee camps of Tulkarem and Nur Shams during the past hours, where a destruction and displacement campaign has been ongoing for several weeks.

In Jineen, the Israeli military operation has turned Jenin refugee camp into a ghost town, leaving devastation reminiscent of the war-torn Gaza Strip.

As of today, March 15, 2025, the West Bank has been enduring the relentless impacts of Israel’s military operations in the Jenin area. Saturday marks the 54th day of Israeli airstrikes, ground assaults, and incursions into Jenin City and its adjacent refugee camp. This prolonged campaign has left a trail of destruction, suffering, and humanitarian crises in its wake.

Two weeks after the military operation began, Jenin camp is largely deserted. Thousands of Palestinians have left their homes, taking only what they could carry, after the Israeli army ordered them to leave through drones equipped with loudspeakers.

As the Israeli attacks continue in the northern West Bank, the humanitarian situation grows increasingly dire. The loss of homes and critical infrastructure has left many without access to basic needs such as food, water, and healthcare.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation regime demolished 10 mosques across the West Bank, including east Jerusalem, over the past week.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinian herders in Masafir Yatta, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), March 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked Palestinian shepherds on Saturday in the Masafir Yatta area south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), forcing them to leave their land at gunpoint.

Osama Makhamara, a local anti-settlement activist, told WAFA that the colonists targeted the family of Ahmad Barghash Al-Shawaheen while they were tending to their livestock in the Wadi Al-Jawaya area. The colonists chased them away, threatening them with firearms and forcing them to abandon the land.

In a separate incident, armed Israeli colonists stormed the nearby area of Khirbet At-Tuba, triggering fear and panic among the women and children present.

Meanwhile, in central Hebron, armed Israeli colonists chased a young boy and his father in the Tel Rumaida neighborhood, throwing stones at them in another act of harassment and intimidation.

The ongoing harassment and attacks by Israeli colonists continue to exacerbate tensions and hardships for Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack shepherd in Masafir Yatta, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), March 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian shepherd was injured today after being violently attacked by the illegal Israeli settlers in the Masafir Yatta area, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to local sources.

Osama Makhamra, a local activist, reported that the colonists assaulted the shepherd, identified as 'Awadh Ibraheem 'Awadh, causing him multiple bruises, wounds, and fractures. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Makhamra reported that the attack occurred near the Al-Tuba hamlet in Masafir Yatta, where the colonists targeted a group of shepherds, beating them and forcing them to leave the grazing lands under threat of further violence.

This assault is part of a series of ongoing and systematic attacks carried out by the illegal Israeli settlers against Palestinian citizens and their property. Such actions are aimed at forcibly displacing the local population to make way for further settlement expansion in the region.

Illegal Israeli settlers  bulldoze vast swaths of Palestinian land, uproot trees in western Salfeet

Saturday 15-March-2025

Salfeet, (PIC)

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers bulldozed on Friday dozens of Palestinian agricultural land in Wadi Al-Matwi area in the west of Salfit City in the Occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, settlers protected by Israeli forces bulldozed vast tracts of land in Wadi Al-Matwi area, which is located between Salfeet City and Bruqeen town, laying the groundwork for the construction of a new settler-only road.

The sources added that the settlers uprooted about 40 perennial olive trees and leveled vast swaths of land belonging to three Palestinian citizens.

Considered one of the vital areas that connect Salfit with the western cluster of villages, Al-Matwi area has been a target of frequent attacks and violations by the illegal Isreli settlers from the illegal outpost of Al-Ras.

In another incident, dozens of settlers stormed Al-'Auja spring, north of Jericho, and held a noisy and provocative celebration, while preventing local citizens from accessing the area and harassing them.

UNRWA opens 130 temporary education centers in Gaza

RAMALLAH, March 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that it has opened 130 temporary education centers in Gaza, enabling direct learning for approximately 47,000 children across the Strip.

This came in a statement posted by UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini on his X account on Saturday, highlighting the agency's role in providing direct learning services to children in Gaza, who have faced killing and displacement over nearly 16 months of genocidal warfare perpetrated by Israel.

Lazzarini emphasized that UNRWA remains the largest provider of emergency learning and psychosocial support services in Gaza.

He stressed that "education restores some hope to the children of Gaza, helping them recover," noting its role in overcoming "the unspeakable traumas that children are experiencing."

He added, "We have a long way to go to encourage more and more children to learn."

The UN official went on to say, "The challenges in Gaza are enormous, and there is no time to waste. Our goal is to avoid a lost generation of Palestinian children."

ýUN rapporteur calls for investigating the martyrdom of prisoners in Israeli prisons

Saturday 15-March-2025

GENEVA, (PIC)

The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and Cruelty, Alice Jill Edwards, has called for accelerated investigations into the martyrdoms of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Edwards strongly criticized the maltreatment of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons since October 7, 2023.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of her participation in the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Edwards emphasized that many of the Palestinian prisoners who were released as part of the exchange agreement were held in very difficult conditions, and that some of them were arbitrarily detained.

She also noted that some of the prisoners appeared in poor health, calling for independent and impartial investigations into charges of torture and ill-treatment.

Edwards said, “The last figure I heard for the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails was around 10,500 before the exchanges. “Of course, some were released after investigations were closed or there were insufficient grounds for their continued detention.

The UN rapporteur emphasized the need to accelerate investigations into the martyrdom of dozens of prisoners inside Israeli occupation prisons, stressing that achieving justice requires a high level of impartiality and independence.

She pointed out that international bodies, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, have the ability to access prisoners and make independent assessments to hold the Israeli occupation government accountable.

Edwards warned that torture and ill-treatment are an obstacle to achieving peace, especially in the Middle East. She called on negotiators to move swiftly to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and push both sides toward a genuine reconciliation process.

“I call with all my good intentions to end this conflict and occupation in the region and open a new page of coexistence and peace,” she said.

Edwards expressed her hope that the ceasefire will hold and called on Israel to allow humanitarian access to Gaza, emphasizing that this is a basic human right.

“What we really want to see in this region is peace, where Palestinians and Israelis live in security and stability and have the right to self-determination,” she said.

WFP: We haven’t been able to bring in any supplies to Gaza since the beginning of March

Saturday 15-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The World Food Program (WFP) said on Friday that it has not been able to transport any food supplies to the Gaza Strip since March 2, due to the Israeli occupation’s closure of all border crossings for humanitarian and commercial supplies.

Earlier this month, the Israeli occupation closed all crossings leading to Gaza to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid.

The UN program explained that commercial food prices have been rising since the closure of the crossings, with the prices of some basic items such as flour, sugar and vegetables increasing by more than 200 percent, according to the UN News website.

The program noted that some local traders have started withholding goods due to uncertainty about the arrival of new supplies.

It said it currently has enough food stocks to support kitchens and bakeries operating in the Gaza Strip for up to a month, as well as ready-to-eat food parcels to support 550,000 people for two weeks.

The UN program said it is currently supporting 33 kitchens across Gaza serving a total of 180,000 hot meals per day. The program also supports 25 bakeries, but on March 8, six of the bakeries were forced to close due to a lack of cooking gas.

The WFP also has about 63,000 metric tons of food destined for Gaza, equivalent to two to three months’ worth of distributions for 1.1 million people, pending permission to enter Gaza, according to the UN.

It added that it delivered more than 40,000 metric tons of food to Gaza and provided life-saving assistance to 1.3 million people during the 42-day ceasefire that began on January 19.

The program also provided more than $6.8 million in cash assistance to support nearly 135,000 people, helping families buy much-needed items.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
